Yellow Is For Bananas – Not Teeth !

Everyone wants a bright, white smile.  However, it’s common for teeth to get discolored over time.  Teeth get stained from drinks like red wine, coffee, tea and cola.

While getting your teeth professionally whitened by a dentist is the safest and most effective way to get a brighter smile, home-whitening methods are also popular.  It is the most popular form of Cosmetic Dentistry.  If you decide to try the home-whitening route, be sure to have us perform a professional cleaning and oral exam first.  At Smiles On Broadway, we can let you know if you are a candidate for teeth-whitening and a cleaning will help maximize your results.

Smiles On Broadway Dental Care, the Cosmetic Dental Practice of Dr. Steven Katz, has been whitening Long Island smiles for over 25 years.  We have enhanced thousands of lives, one smile at a time.  In celebration of love, and for Valentines Day, we are offering an amazing special on Professional Teeth-Whitening…ONLY $199.  We will offer this through the end of February.  Call now for your appointment.

Whitening products come in pastes, gels, pens and strips.  Be sure that the whitening products you use are approved by the American Dental Association (ADA).  Peroxide is the main ingredient in most whitening products.  It is safe for teeth and the soft tissues of your mouth.  You will want to choose a product that has no more than a ten percent concentration of the peroxide.

Do not attempt to whiten your teeth if you have crowns, veneers or bonding.  These restorations will not whiten and, thus, they will not match the rest of your teeth.  Also, you should not attempt to whiten your teeth if they are especially sensitive.

Don’t go overboard with whitening.  Going overboard can make your teeth look unnatural.  Too much bleach can even give your teeth a bluish tint.  Be sure to careful to follow the instructions on whichever product you choose.

You will get faster and more effective teeth-whitening results in our office, but as long as you use safe products that are approved by the ADA, you’ll be okay doing the whitening at home.  If at-home whitening doesn’t get you where you want to be, we can help you get that “Hollywood” smile.

Remember, that for a very limited time (end of February) the fee for professional whitening in our office is ONLY $199.

Please remember that at Smiles On Broadway, we are here for you.  If you have any questions about this or anything else concerning your dental health, please give us a call at 516-599-0883, or visit our website at
