Our Services

The office is completely computerized, including the treatment rooms. This allows the use of computerized x-rays and digital cameras for diagnosis and treatment planning, as well as providing up to date information about you. These “clinical work stations” are networked to our front desk to assure you fast, accurate appointment, billing and insurance information.

We are proud of the fact that we can provide virtually all of your dental needs in our office. We are well versed in all areas of dentistry.

Periodontal Treatment | Crowns | Bridges | Long Island

While we promote non-surgical periodontal (gums) treatment, should you require gum surgery, an extraction, or root canal therapy, these procedures can be done right here in our office. We are experienced in the treatment of bad breath.  For our apprehensive patients and young children, we offer needle-less anesthesia, drill-free (air abrasion) dentistry, TV’s, headphones and nitrous oxide (sweet air), if desired. Drs. Katz and Lizzio are NY State Certified in Oral Sedation.  Please click here to find out more about Anxiety Free Dentistry

For patients who are missing teeth, we are very experienced in providing dental implants and permanent bridgework that look and feel like natural teeth.

Rather than using ugly silver fillings, which ultimately weaken back teeth, we use tooth colored resin fillings and inlays or onlays. These restorations are strong, minimize the amount of tooth which must be ground away, and look incredible.

Listed below are some of the Dental Services that we offer:

Dental Crowns Long Island

Crowns are similar to veneers except that they are placed over the entire tooth. These restorations are used to correct severe decay or to restore teeth that have had root canal therapy.

Dental Inlays & Dental Onlays Long Island

Inlays and onlays are used to replace large fillings or restore large cavities. They are usually made from resin material, porcelain or gold. Once placed, they are virtually undetectable in the mouth, and conserve much of your natural tooth structure.

Crowns, Inlays and Onlays usually take two appointments to complete.

Dental Bridges Long Island

These restorations, generally made of porcelain or porcelain and gold, are used to replace missing teeth. Bridges are supported by the teeth neighboring the missing tooth and are permanently cemented.

Dental Implants Long Island

Dental implants, are small prosthetic posts that are placed into the bone of the upper or lower jaw. They act as replacements for the root portion of lost natural teeth and also as an anchor for the replacement teeth. Dental implants look and feel like natural teeth. They are appropriate for almost anyone who is currently missing teeth or at risk for losing teeth.

In many situations, dental implants can give back patients their confident smile. The benefits are improved esthetics, the ability to eat comfortably and a clean, healthy oral environment for the patient.

There are many different types of implants available. Drs. Katz and Lizzio have extensive experience in implants and would be pleased to discuss the benefits of implant prosthetics with you.

Periodontal (Gum Disease) Treatment Long Island

Periodontal treatment is necessary when the gums become infected. Periodontal disease is the most prevalent disease in America. Four out of five adults have periodontal disease, to some extent. We promote non-surgical periodontal treatment using various hygienic and medicinal modalities with excellent success. However, should the severity of your periodontal disease warrant any surgery, we are able to perform that in our office.

Extractions and Oral Surgery Long Island

Unless a patient wishes to be given general anesthesia for surgical procedures, we are able to perform almost all of the surgical procedures needed by our patients in our office, saving our patients the hassle of traveling to an unfamiliar office for these procedures. For those patients who are nervous about their treatment, we offer Nitrous Oxide. Nitrous oxide is an excellent technique to help apprehensive patients relax and overcome their nervousness.
